      My name is Geralyn Watson, former Mrs. New Jersey America 2003 and  Third Runner-up to Mrs. America. I can tell you that my experience with the Mrs. America system is one I will never forget and always treasure.

      In September of 2004, I had the distinct honor and privilege of being selected by the Mrs. America/Mrs. World Organization as the new State Director for the Mrs. New Jersey America Pageant, a preliminary to the nationally televised Mrs. America TV Special.

      As stated on our home page, the America system is the ORIGINAL (since 1938) and the ONLY televised ‘Mrs.’ pageant system. Both the Mrs. America and Mrs. World TV Specials are telecast in primetime an  impressive FIVE TIMES every year, more than any other pageant system in the world, reaching hundreds of millions of viewers, making the‘America’ system the most recognized and respected ‘Mrs.’ pageant by the general public. With major network sponsors and dedicated directors in every state, we continue to prove each year to be the ‘PREMIERE’ Mrs. pageant system.

      Although our pageant is considered a beauty pageant, I would like to stress the importance that we are MUCH MORE than that! The Mrs. America Organization strongly urges women to voice their opinions on marriage and important issues of the day. Our contestants are accomplished women who exemplify the culmination of balancing marriage, family and career while advocating their opinions on issues for which they feel passionate about. Their voices are heard by promoting awareness for many different organizations and causes in their communities. Our charitable volunteerism includes work with organizations such as: Alzheimer’s, Cancer, MS, Domestic Violence, Making Playgrounds Accessible for the Physically Challenged, Helping the Elderly as well as Children in various venues, Drug Abuse Awareness & Prevention, Supporting Our Military, The Importance of Exercise and Good Nutrition , Animal Rights, Supporting the Arts, Literacy, AIDS, Volunteerism, Creating Goals and Achieving Them…the list goes on and on. As a music educator for 20 years, I made numerous appearances on my platform, “The Importance of Music Education for Our Youth” during my reign (see State Appearances above). 

      With THREE EXTREMELY SUCCESSFUL shows in 2005, 2006 & 2007, the Mrs. New Jersey America Organization is even more excited as we prepare for our 2008 Competition! Considered now by many as one of the best pageants in the state, the Mrs. New Jersey America Pageant, produced by Dreamcatcher Productions, LLC will be a three day event for the contestants filled with  amazing professional entertainment, a Welcome Reception Dinner for you and your husband, photo shoots and fabulous prizes. Combined with our POPULAR Pageant Training Workshops throughout the year (See Workshops page for details), we will make your ‘America’ experience enjoyable and fun!

      The Mrs. America/Mrs. World Organization, along with our Statewide Competitions, is the LARGEST venue of pageantry for married women in the United States and around the world today. I am thrilled to be a part of such a prestigious organization and I am in high hopes that you will decide to participate in the 2008 Mrs. New Jersey America Pageant and begin an exciting journey with the Mrs. America Family. I commend those who dare to dream and my goal is to help make your pageant experience one to remember and cherish.
